About
Elevated, but grounded
Veralta is an independent technology advisory firm. We help growing companies make technology decisions with confidence — what to build, what to buy, and what to leave behind.
We are modern and comfortable with where technology is going, but the work is grounded in operating experience rather than in trends. Most of what a growing business needs from technology is unglamorous: fewer moving parts, clearer ownership, and decisions that hold up a year later.
Who you're working with
Phillip R. Kennedy
Founder and principal advisor

Veralta is led by a single senior advisor. There is no bench behind the name and no account manager between you and the work. When you engage us, you are engaging a person whose judgement you can assess directly in the first conversation.
That is an unusual thing for a firm to admit, and it is the point. Advisory work is bought on judgement. A firm large enough to hide behind its process is a firm you cannot evaluate until the invoice arrives.

How we work
Six commitments we will hold to
One senior advisor
You are not sold by one person and delivered by another. The advisor in the first conversation is the advisor in the last one. That caps how much work we take at a time, deliberately.
Independent by design
We sell no software, resell no licences, and accept no vendor referral fees. It is the only reason a recommendation about a vendor is worth anything.
Decisions in writing
Every engagement ends in something written down, costed, and sequenced — a document you could hand to someone else and have them act on it.
Present in person
We are based in the Upstate and we work on site here. Some problems are only visible on the floor, in the warehouse, or in the room.
Willing to say no
We turn down work that is not a fit, and we will talk you out of an engagement you do not need. A short honest answer is better business than a long unnecessary one.
Built to hand over
The goal is a business that no longer needs us in the seat. We plan for the handover from the start rather than discovering it at the end.
What we value
Five values, and one outcome
Clarity
We make complex technology understandable and actionable. If an explanation needs a glossary, it is not finished.
Alignment
Technology must serve the business — not the other way around. The right answer is the one that fits where you are going.
Stewardship
We treat your money, risk, systems, and reputation as our own. That includes telling you when to spend less.
Foresight
We prepare you for what comes next without chasing trends. Most technology fashion is someone else’s problem.
Resolve
We make difficult decisions, restore control, and follow through. The uncomfortable recommendation is usually the useful one.
Confidence is the outcome.
The name
Why Veralta
The mark is a V held inside a square frame, with one arm crossing and breaking the edge. It is a reasonable picture of the work: structure you can rely on, and the willingness to cross a line when the situation calls for it.
Clear direction. Deliberate progress. Those are the two things a growing business most often lacks in its technology, and they are the two things we are here to supply.

Thirty minutes, no charge, no deck. If we are not the right people for what you are facing, we will say so and point you at who might be.
